ACADEMY RULES and POLICIES
REGISTRATION AND TUITION
A registration form and a full amount of the selected package tuition fee are required upon registration. Student or parent should pay the next package tuition fee upon the end of the existing package. All Silver River Music Academy (“Academy”) Tuition Package expire 18 months from the date of purchase. Payment of tuition fee indicates your consent to SRMA Rules and Policies. SRMA reserves right to change tuition fee, other fees or requirements without prior notice. ABSENCES/MAKE-UP LESSONS Students are charged for which they register within a session, including lessons missed due to student absence. In order to be EXCUSED from a lesson, students must notify the Academy at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson. Students are only allowed one make-up lesson per session for an EXCUSED absence. UNEXCUSED student absences do not merit a credit, refund or make-up lesson. Students arriving late to a lesson are only entitled to the time remaining in the lesson slot. FACULTY CANCELLATIONS In the event an instructor must cancel a lesson, the Student Services Coordinator will contact the student and arrange for a make-up lesson or a substitute teacher. If neither can be arranged, a credit for the missed lesson will be applied to the student’s account. LESSON PACKAGE TRANSFER Private lesson credits can be transferred to different private lessons as long as the rates are the same. Credits cannot be transferred between private lessons and group lessons. Lesson packages can only be shared or transferred within siblings and their parents. REFUNDS/ WITHDRAWAL/FEES: A student may not withdraw from lessons after the 1st official lesson and will only receive a refund for the remaining lessons in the form of tuition credit, which expires 18 months from the date of purchase. A student withdraws before the 1st official lesson within 7 days of purchase may receive a refund of what is paid, in the form of original payment, less trial lesson fee (subject to change) and a $50 service charge. If the tuition paid in the form of check and check returned, the Academy will charge additional $35 and bill whoever made the check. The service fee for credit card or debit card payment will be 2.75% of the total tuition amount. There is no service fee if payment made by cash and check. GOODS and RECITAL FEES: All goods sold by the Academy are final sales and cannot be returned for refund. All recital fees and charges are non-refundable. MEDIA RELEASE: You consent to the use by the Academy, of all videotape, photographic or other images that the Academy has taken of the student or in which the student may be included, for all purposes, in any and all media (electronic or print medium, including Internet), without limitation, including promotion, solicitation, advertising, demonstration or trade. |
